Is red dye fuel bad?
They don't dye the off road fuel up here, off course something like 90% of all diesel used in Alaska is used off road, mostly for generators. At most village an small towns the pumps have three nozzles, one for gas, one for road diesel and one off road. I use Howes.
My farm's fuel supplier says it's the same exact stuff except the fuel that feeds my furnaces and tractors has dye in it while the stuff for my truck doesn't.
That said, our tanks for the tractors have fuels sitting in them longer (unless it's harvest time) and probably have some water and algae in them vs. the truck's supply. But that's just a storage issue. No difference in the fuel when it gets delivered.
If you drive on-road with a license plate, you are subject to taxes. Those roads don't repair themselves! If you want to drive on the road with red fuel, drive your tractor.
