Rail high pressure sensor leaking an now have error codes

My 05 dodge 2500 ctd just got a rebuilt motor put in. The high pressure sensor started leaking yesterday. I got my mechanic to order one from cummins which leaked all over the place. We pulled the new one and compared it to the original one. The new one had a shorter threaded section of the sensor. We think that it is not seating into the rail like the original. The new one is about one threads worth short. My mechanic found a loaner sensor and it matched the original sensor and worked great. No leak. We called cummins and double checked the engine number and it matched the part they sent us.
Anyone got any ideas.

The working sensor is a Bosch 0281002534

The one that leaks is Bosch 0281002921

Soon after I left the shop I started to drop p codes

Error cods
0113
0193
0088

Engine ran ok. It did seem a little sluggish get up to highway speed.
Your thoughts would be appreciated. My mechanic is taking my old leaky sensor to cummins to match one up
