quick help with terminalogy?

i need to go to autozone and get the stuff you put on bolts that seals fluid from coming out. for example the tapped hole where you install your temp reader for your trans gauge. i can't remember the correct terminalogy?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Teflon tape or thread sealer or proper tightening on good threads.

Loctite 565 is a tread sealer good for up to 300 degrees, and corse threads.

567 is good for 400, and 5770 is rated for 530 degrees.

I like Indian Head shellac compound for sealing bolts. Comes in a small brown bottle about 1 1/4" diameter by 3" tall. Last I checked, it cost about a buck and could do a whole motor with a little left over.
