Question Question to owners os NEW CTD's...

Just curious:

How many miles did your truck have on it when you picked it new up at the dealers?

Also, if you checked the run time meter, how much time did the time meter have on it when you picked it up?

Thanks!

DT.

Mine had 40 some miles on it when I picked it up. But I test drove it starting at 29 miles and put the ones inbetween on it. They had to put a few miles on it running down to the gas station to fill it up. I dont know how many hours where on it. I asked the service manager abought checking that and he said he would have to hook it up to the scaner. Is there a way to check it with out the scaner?

If my memory is correct you turn the key on but do not start the engine. Press and hold the trip meter for a few seconds (seems like quite a while) then the display will read engine hours.

yep that's how you do it.

when I first test drove my truck it had 6 miles on it, the hour meter read less than 1 hour but I don't remember the exact number.
