Question about transfer cases

My NV273 has decided that it wants to keep having electrical issues so I've decided I want to swap in a 271 and have the manual shift. I have a line on a couple used junkyard units, but one is behind a 48re and the other is off an nv5600. does anyone know if the input shafts for those are the same as my g56 or will i have to crack the cases and swap shafts?

The Dodge Np271 uses either 23 spline or 29 spline input. Your G56 has a 29 spline output shaft so as long as you get the 271 that uses the 29 spline you should be good.

Do you know what spline count the nv5600 or auto trans uses?

The 5600 in a 4x4 has the 29 spline shaft. The 4x2 would have a 31 spline shaft. The 48Re has the 29 spline
