i have a 94 auto and a 271 light duty transfer case that's broke, my question is will a 271 heavy duty t-case from a 95 manual work with mine if i change the input shaft from my case to the other case? will the light duty input shaft work in the hd case? thanks a bunch joe

 

u mean 241? the manual will have a 29 spline input gear, U can swap the 23 spline from the auto in it no problem. I did the opposite, I swapped a 29 spline into mine so I could run the manual trans. I thought it would be hard, but the transfercase is pretty simple inside.
