well im going to be going to the dealer on wed to get my trucks trans fluid flushed out where the guy put atf+3 instead of +4. will the dealer be able to tell that there is +3 in there any way at all? am i safe with warranty reasons from hiding this from the dealer with just him servicing the trans? thanks

Make the place that put in ATF +3 buy you the 4 gallons of ATF +4 and install it or have them pay for the dealer to install the correct stuff and get your money back for them messing up your tranny.
The ATF +3 is NOT synthetic and can cause real bad shift problems in the tranny.

As far as warranty, if DC fineds out yo installed ATF+3 then yes they can void the tranny warranty

 

If you're not having any problems then the dealer will not test the fluid just for the heck of it. Don't tell them what happened either. You don't want to lose your trans warranty because of something someone else did and then end up in a lawsuit over it later. You're getting it flushed right away after the mishap so you should be OK.
I agree with Supergewl that the shop that screwed up should flush and fill with ATF+4 at their cost. If they are at all worried about their reputation they would have already offered this to you....
