Pyro readings??

I think my x-monitor is malfunctioning- the pyro sensor in particular. I will have normal readings for days or weeks, and then all of the sudden the temp will rocket up?? Is there a way to clean the probe? Any suggestions? Is there a way to know if there is a problem if the gauge is malfunctioning? Thanks

Try looking for loose connections at the gauge and any extension cables for the thermocouple.

Could also be a defective gauge.
