Pulling to the Right...
Pulling to the Right...
Anyone have this problem?
This truck has pulled to the right since the day I drove it off the lot. The steering wheel needs to be pointing at 8 O'clock and 2 instead of 9 and 3 when driving on flat level roads.
When i changed out my tires at 50k from Goodyear to Michelin, it didnt change the problem, still pulled right. The tire shop did check the alignment and told me it was in tolerance.

I would consider going ahead and getting it aligned at the dealer. Mine charged $59.00, which I thought was pretty reasonable. I had mine done after I added the leveling kit and new tires.
Is yours still in warranty? Maybe they will do it for free.

Just a thought here, could it be the crown of the road causing it??? My truck is not 8:00 and 2:00 like yours, but it's maybe 8:30 and 2:30 on a normal 2 land road. I have gone into the other lane to pass and then it goes to about 9:30 and 3:30!! So I think mine is OK.
Mine's the same as dorkweed's. Go in the left lane, and it pulls to the left. The first time I drove one of these trucks, I noticed that it "rolled" more easily from one side to another more easily than any truck I've owned. They seem to be more easily affected by the wind, and crown in the road.(It was like driving a boat.) When you get used to it, you don't even notice it any more. But- it's my opinion that they are easily pulled or pushed one way or another, and many people notice the pull to the right because of the crown.
My '03 is the same way as well. Pulls right in the right hand lane, pulls left when I move left into the passing lane. I am quite certian that it is related to the crown of the road. The pull is most noticed on the straight interstate highways where the crown is most obvious to keep the water off the road. The pull is not apparent when cruising the local roads at lower speeds where the crown is not so pronounced.
Just to make me feel better, I run the right side tires with 2 to 4 more pounds of air pressure than their left side counterparts. It's less stress this way when trying to fiddle with something in the cab at highway speeds, otherwise the truck kept heading for the ditch without constant corrections!

I kinda have the same problem. I just swapped all my stock tires with only 2,400 miles on my truck to BFG All tearrain KO's in a 285 size. Truck drove pin straight from day one, but the day I put he bigger tires on, started noticing a pull to the right. Tire shop swapped the 2 front tires to see if it was a bad tire, if it was, than it would pull to the left. I asked if the bigger tires were more sensative to the crown in the road, and they said yes. Now I constantly have to keep the wheel cocked to the left to keep the truck from pulling to the right, even driving on local roads at around 30 mph. Im going on a 45 min ride to a dealership tomm. to have everything checked, I will see how it is on a decent highway trip. I havnt had the chance to go for a good highway ride since the new tires. I really dont want to pay for a $60 alignment service, for them to tell me its in specs
