I've bought the stock Mopar Air Filters off eBay from Henson Motors in Madisonville, TX. $15 for each one plus shipping. That $16 price you got is great for a local dealer.

I noticed that they have a different prefilter facing on them. If this is a problem thier all going back! By chance did you try pulling the prefilter facing off and checking the minder pull down with the Fleetgaurd?

No I didn't.....but the new stock one from Dodge works fine about 35% when new.......the fleetgaurd pulled to 95% first thing.......gotta be less flow! Right?

Fleetguard has foam rubber backing.........Dodge has Woven stuff

I have a Purolator in mine now. It doesn't have a pre filter. After our 140 mile trip this weekend, it was only doen to it's usual 35" mark.

Hairy1: you must have had an original style with the foam on it. About a year ago Cummins and DC agreed to get rid of the foam as it was causing air flow restriction. The correct Fleetguard AF26106 does not have an inlet foam or otherwise. There might be some old stock out there yet though.

Whow...back up the truck! Replaced my original stock mopar filter with a new Fleetguard AF26106 from the local Cummins dealer for $14.00 that has the green 1/2" foam glued to the bottom. Filter minder never budged? No restrictions I can tell or see. By the way I pay $56.00 for Valvoline premium blue 15w40 5 gallon pail. Any difference in price at cummins south of the border?
