Power Steering Pump

When I checked the fluid level today the cap nearly flew out of my hand when I opened it cause there was a lot of pressure inside. Is this normal? The truck is new and this is the first time that I have checked the fluid level which was fine. The engine had been off for approx 2 minutes when I checked the level. Thanks

My reservoir gets pressurized too. I was surprised and was going to ask the same question.

When it's warm, mine will have some pressure...

I wouldn't worry about it.

You might want to siphon a bit out with mommas turkey baster . Mine did that as well and was leaving overspray all over the top and below of the pump and reservoir . Seems the frito bandito crew added a bit too much fluid and it's been dry ever since .
