My truck has over 570,000 miles and I have noticed a growling noise from the power steering at slow speeds such as parking lots and back ups.

The fluid is okay. The noise has been there for a couple of weeks. The steering is fine with no problems at higher speeds.

This pump has always been a bit on the noisy side. Just seems to be more lately.

Side note. Just had tires put on the front about the time this started.

Today, I noticed that the steering wheel would vibrate after driving. Shut the truck off and restart and vibration is gone.

Called a couple of dealers to order the pump and assembly. They must think it is made of gold. All of them over 600.

After market is under 100 and in fact, my cost is only 56.00. Now carrying with me.

Any thoughts on the pump and the new vibrations?
