Power steering leak

I am in the process of doing a fair bit of work to my truck upper lower ball joints u-joints trany cooler and lines. As I am trying to figure out as many of these hick ups as possible while I have my truck in the shop. Does any one know if this is a common problem I put a new pump and resivoir in about a year and a bit ago and still noticing fluid loss could the loss be to do the pump being used in conjunction with the brakes 'i think' and something failing on that end of things? Again any help or advice would be greatly appreciate thx

Really just need to clean up the area and see where it's leaking from.
There are 2 orings on the reservior where it plugs into the pump and one on the high presure line from the pump. Those locations as well as the seal on the pump are the common leak areas (I know, mine eats PS pumps, so I've had it apart a couple times!).

Not sure what year your truck is (no sig.) but the 03-05s had problems with the PS pump building excessive pressure inside the reservoir, thus causing leaks. Search "power steering cap mod" and you might find how to mod the cap to limit the pressure build up. Until I did mine it always sounded like I was opening a well-shook can of soda.
