power steering 03

power steering 03

no fluid in resivor all in the inner fender. whats is recommended fluid? where should i start to look for the leek? dam where id the best place to get them.

read on other post that resevior pressurizes and that they have been putting a pin hole in the cap

ATF+4 for the power steering fluid.
Check the hydroboost fittings at the PS pump. Mine was crossthreaded and over a period of time cracked, dumping all the fluid on the highway. Dealer replaced the PS pump and both hydroboost lines.

Yep, you got some problems (same as quite a few of us have had). When mine did that, it was a blown seal on the ps pump thta caused it, but most of them are caused by the hydroboost system. There is a TSB on this.
