Is it possible?...TSB-21-009-07

Picked up the truck yesterday. Went to the dealer armed with the TSB printout and the photos of the Solenoid and Transducer(Thanks DTR!!!). They replaced everything according to the TSB.

Took care of the 1-2 hunting as near as I can tell for now. But, is it possible that it's causing the transmission to work better across the board? It feels as though it is operating at full power as in it holds the gears to redline and shifts appropriately under full throttle, and feels more assertive under light throttle.

Anyhow, I'm happy for now.

Still doesn't feel like butta like my dad's Allison.

not to rain on your parade but they did mine and a week or so later it came back. keep an eye on it. they replaced a couple other solenoids while they were in there and did the filter too.

I'm hoping that the stock condition of my truck will say otherwise. But like I said above, I'm happy for now.

same here gotmeat, as I stated in those earlier threads this TSB improved many aspects of my tranny ... sounds like you were lucky like me. So far mine is still good ... good as is it's gonna get stock anyhow. It's still a poor shifting tranny compared to any other truck I've owned or driven, especially the Ally but at least it's improved and better than the day I bought it ... so far.

The two parts, solenoid and transducer are in a block that is a part of the v/body.

I would say yes. Only problem would be maybe they don't use o.e., but wouldn't know for sure.

Since it is a TSB and not a Recall, I would assume that it will not be done under the warranty. You would probably have a leg to stand on if you wanted to pursue it though.

The TSB has a line in it that refers to billing under warranty.
