Possible Tranny Problem?

I loaded up my ATV in the truck and when I started to drive off it seemed to take a few seconds to move. Down the road a bit I had to stop for a deer and when I took off again it seemed to take forever to get to 40 mph. It was at 2500 rpms and accelerating slowly. I am thinking tranny failure in the near future. Has anyone had the same problems just before the tranny gave up.

When the truck warmed up did it act normal? I could be some worn clutches or the governor pressure switch or GP transducer.

It was already warmed up. I am thinking that some clutches are worn out. I was going to swap my tranny for a DTT with somebody else but now I do not think I could give him a failing tranny.
