Plugs and Wires

Hi All

I have a 2004 305 555 and I figure it is time to change the spark plugs and ignition wires.
Does anybody know where they are...any pics...I can't seem to find them?

On a diesel, they go by a different name. Plugs = injectors and wire = injector lines. Replace both sets together and you should be just fine.

Plugs and wires should be good to go, might want to think about swapping out that muffler bearing though.

Check the tailight fluid while you are at it...and by the way many manufacturers actually do have replaceable muffler bearings on their variable flow mufflers, dodge doesn't yet. Acura and Mazda however do. The bearing is a for the flap that actually opens depending on power demand and I do know the bearing is a serviceable part if one needs to replace.

As for your plugs and wires...go ask the parts department at your local dealer and see if you stump them or not also

If I asked some of the dealers I have been to, they probably WOULD try to find sparkplugs and wires for the diesel.

Guys, your neglecting to tell him about the catalytic converter fluid also. That has to be full in order for the truck to start. Personally, I run Bosch super duper platinums in my truck.

Most of the dealers I'm familiar would gladly take the truck in for plugs and wires. Then keep if for three days and charge you $1200 plus rental.

I think thats a 2nd Gen Option only. On 3rd gens it was replaced by a micro-converter.

And don't forget about the 30K service interval for the flux capaciter. As long as that thing is working you can hit 88mph and go back to the future!!!!!!

While your in there you might as well rebuild the carburator too. also check the diesel enhancement valve, if it is plugged you will have to change the fuel hand crank.

TOto

ARE YOU SURE YOURS IS AN '04?????????????

IF you have the '04.5 like mine then besure you you pull off the intake and COAT (use atleast 1/2 of the jar) the turbo fins with peanut butter (RICH AND CREAMY, JIF IS MY PREFERANCE). Once your engine is upto operating temprature the peanut butter will slowly melt, going into/thru the turbo and into the muffler bearings for lubrication.

FOR BEST RESULTS THIS HAS TO BE DONE AT LEAST EVERY OTHER DAY..................................
