plastic tube- what is it?

plastic tube- what is it?

what is that hard plastic tube on the right side of the engine-it is in front of the fuel filter housing. looks like it comes from somewhere farther down the engine, then goes in, under the valve cover. every time i messing with my engine- i am afraid i am going to crack it or break it in half!

It's the exit for the breather. It was on the front of the engine on the older 2nd gen trucks. Now it is a box on top of the valve cover, covered by the black plastic cover with the "C" on it.
