Pinion seal
Pinion seal
I think my front pinion seal is shot...
It is throwing oil on the front tire and all over the truck. Anyone else have this problem? At first I though it was a lot of oil from the puke tube...
THinking I'm gong to change it out this weekend have done a few trans and pinion seals on the old trucks so it should be about the same.
Just plan on counting the turns of the pinion nut when I take it off and replace it the same way so I don't need to get into the gears....
The heat in the bearing feels fine so I think that it is just junk or bad from the get go, don't think the bearing is going bad or heat made it go bad.
Just want to find out if any others have had them go out and replaced them and had any luck with them?
