Today I got around to changing the stock tranny fluid with Pennzoil Synchromesh and wow, what a difference it makes. The tranny seems to slip into gear much easier than the stock fill. The 2nd to 3rd notchiness is gone with the Pennzoil. Also removed the PTO cover and pulled the magnet. No part numbers stuck to the magnet and only a fine coating of metal particles. Appears the tranny is wearing normally.
