P2509 Fault Code

I went and turned the truck on this morning and my engine light came on. I took the truck to Autozone and they told me it was Code P2509:

Power down data lost error

ECM has detected a loss of power condition

Probable Cause
Poor Electrical Connection
Battery Fault
Battery Disconnected

The truck had no issues starting this morning so I don't think it's the battery. I did have the guy check the batteries but he checked them while they were still connected. I thought you had to disconnect the batteries to properly check them?

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Got the same code 2 wks ago if I didnt plug my truck in. Then I got a "charging system low voltage" warning. Now my truck is in my yard with a bad cable connection that I need to change. But according to my battery tester my batteries are fine.

I just cleaned both terminals on the batteries and the ground on the body and the code went away. I hope that keeps it fixed. I might go get the batteries tested elsewhere. Good luck!!!
