Early '04 305/555 6 speed
No programmers/chips other than an MSRP exhaust and a pac brake...

Loaded with fire wood, hit a cattle guard a little hard, dash went bong, check engine light came on and throttle response was unusually sensitive then went dead. This happened a couple times on out to the highway where everything cleared up. Checked codes through dash P2121 (only one) Truck ran well for a couple weeks and 2000Km.

Tonight, wife started the truck up, check engine light, jerky throttle. Checked codes, P2121 only one present.

Google says replace APPS sensor.
What say you?
Sensor or something else related to hitting the cattle guard hard?

My APPS sensor is sitting under the battery on the drivers side. Haven't pulled everything out to look at it yet....

check the connections on your apps. make sure you have enough battery power, like 12.7+ take the cables off the truck for 30 mins so it can reset and then see if it still does it.

 

Pulled the cables off the batteries for several hours, checked connections, checked grounds.
All appeared good.
Reconnected batteries, performed calibration procedure and all is running well.

Just hope it stays that way....

 

free fix, that is the best.
