Looking for some insight....
I have posted a few times of issues I am having my my engine. So I am going to explain everything that is happening to get some feedback.
I bought my truck with 117,xxx miles knowing it had more than desired blow by. I bought it from my buddy for $8000.00. He had the local dodge look at it and they said it had more blow by than they liked and suggested a new motor. Truck did not leak any oil out breather tube when I bought it. Just smoked a little. Burned about 1-2 quarts of oil every 500-700 miles. I have had my truck for 18 months now and has been running great.
Three weeks ago I towed 13,000 lbs over a 8,000 foot pass. Trucked pulled the trailer with ease. Next morning I noticed oil all over tailgate and under neath as well. When I started the truck that morning I had a erratic idle that would clean up to almost normal after about 1 minute of driving.
Had white has on start up. And would smoke white pretty good when I pushed the pedal down hard.
I had a buddy of mine scan my truck and said #6 cylinder was the issues. I pulled #6 injector. Tested good. I then pulled #1 and #3 injector. Injector #3 was bad. Installed new one. Haze at idle seemed to get better. But still has bad initial bad idle that shakes the truck pretty good that clears up quickly after driving. Truck still smokes white when I pound the throttle. But has tons of power. Maybe seems a little under powered when taking off from stopped.
It seems to smoke only when not in the boost. As if I am coming down a steep grade then get to the flats and accelerate it will smoke with really good for a bit
Still dripping oil out breather tube. Still burning oil/loosing oil. Going to pull #2, #4 and #5 tomorrow and have them checked on Monday.
Other thing I have noticed for some time is my radiator will loose some coolant and over flow is always full. Over flow never moves at all. But radiator still gets low over time.
I already understand the truck could have bad rings/piston....
So my questions are:
Can a head gasket cause blow by or oil consumption?
Can my truck still run really good with a blow head gasket?
Can a bad head gasket cause the bad start up idle issue?
Why would my truck have a really bad initial idle but run great after a few minutes?
I have been thinking of selling my truck. But heck, if my truck runs this great with the issues I have. Can't wait to get it fixed and see how much better it runs........

Could be a head gasket. Have you tried removing the oil fill cap with it running? If you have alot of "air" blowing out the fill hole that would be blow by.
Also check your charge air boots going to your intercooler for leaks.

Blow by
I bought the truck with above average blow by. But truck still has tons of power. I am leaning towards pin hole head gasket leak and or bad valve seals.

Can a head gasket cause blow by or oil consumption?
Yes the leaky head gasket could cause suction on intake pulling in oil if in the right spot or the compression stroke could put pressure into the crank case via the bad spot on the head gasket. It can also put that pressure into your coolant system causing problems and over pressure there.
Can my truck still run really good with a blow head gasket?
It can appear to run good with the other cylinders picking up the slack from the weak cylinder.
Can a bad head gasket cause the bad start up idle issue?

Hot - Cold Expand - Contract. The gasket could be leaking more at start up when things are cold/cool and cause issues and then has things warm up the bad spot in the gasket could seal itself shut enough to smooth out the idle
I would tend to look more towards a bad cylinder piston/rings situation with what you have told in your message.
