2003, manual trans. Sometimes the idle, about 700 RPM, doesn't return to that number. When letting off the accelerator it may hang up anywhere between 900 and 1100 RPM. Sometimes if I tap the brake it may come back or if I let the clutch out to go it will immediately come back. Doesn't matter if cruise is turned on or off. Same with the exhaust brake doesn't matter if on or off. TPS? Thanks for any ideas.

Do the ignition key On/Off/On three times to post any error codes in the memory. Will display in the odometer readout.

Could be the APPS, or the FCA, or injectors dribbling.
