Oil leaking out of air box

Went out side and saw a silver dollar sized oil puddle under the truck. Seems like it's coming from the front of the Ram Air's front air intake area. My engine oil is black, yet the leak looks like brand new oil.
Problem? Runs perfect as always. Have about 2,000 lbs of ceramic tile in the back of the truck...

what air filter are you using ? was it just claened and re-oiled ? Had a customer complain about nearly the same thing and he over oiled the filter and caused a few drips.

I have the UNI, but it's been about 1000 miles since I oiled and installed it. I'll pull of the whole thing and see if it's starting inside the air box.

Well, it must be filter oil. Dunno why it'd start now. It just leaked out the front, and not into the turbo area...if that makes sense.

These filters can hold a lot of oil and what I have found is if it has too much oil to begin with and we do not get it all out during the first cleaning, it will build up seep out and it appears to me that it will seep out more when its warmer. I wiped off the excess oil and that stopped the seeping.

The foam filters can have oil settle out if its over oiled. Did you oil it when you first got it? They come pre oiled.

Yes, I think the instructions said to oil it again as the oil may have settled during shipping, or something like that. The oil sure was clean. It was about 101 degrees today, but I've been in 113 recently.....I think the engine was working harder with the tile I've been hauling though.
Anyway, thanks!
