Oil leak? or is this normal

I had the oil changed by the dealer today, but before I took it in I marked my filter to make sure they changed it.(paranoid) When I was under the truck there was a slight amout of oil on the transmission just behind the motor. I didn't see any leaks but noticed a tube that had oil in it (is that a breather tube) Anyway by the time I got to my dealer I forgot to mention it to them and wanted to see what y'all thought about it. By the way I will be doing my oil changes from now on as the dealer gave me my first one free so why not.

if they filled it to where it is to the full line on the dipstick then some will blow out it is best to fill it to the middle of the full space

The oil was there prior to taking it in to the dealer and it was in the middle of the fill line on the dipstick.

It the breather for the engine, air comes out of it from the C.C. The air has some oil mist in it so you get some drips no matter how full it is. It is normal. The reason you do not see it on gassers is because the C.C. is a sealed system, it gets drawn into the engine and burned. Someday you will see the same systems on diesels

Thanks for the setting my mind at ease OOPS I am taking the family on a 600 mile trip in 3 days and didn't want any problems(knock on wood). I will keep an eye on it but will consider it normal until proven otherwise
