Oil on inside of back wheel????

Under truck today I noticed oil on inside of back wheel. It smelt like 75w90 amsoil synthetic (same as in diff). Could it be wheel seal? Some say wheel cylinder but I have 4 wheel disc brakes and it dont smell like brake fluid. Are wheel seals common things on these dodges? also is it an expensive fix? I could still reuse brake pads etc..couldnt i?

yep wheel seal. its fairly easy to replace. re useing your pads, all depends on if there contaminated. if there worn, id just do'm while in there..

You're going to have to pull the axle's. It's not a bad job though.

Does the 11.5 axle use the same spindle nut socket as the old GM 14 bolt (which uses the same as a Dana 60 front iirc)?
