This was not with the factory fill oil, but was with the 5-10k service I did.

Saturday were going to Santa Barbara to the zoo, Sunday no plans, Monday I'm helping a buddy move about 6yds of dirt with the truck. Let me know were your going to be or if ya want to meet up for coffee or something.

Silicon is way too high for that low of miles. Switch out your airfilter and DON'T use a k&n. My last silicon was 3 with 18k miles with a bypass. You should be no more than a 5PPM of silicon if you are changing at 5k.
just my .2 cents for more info check out "bob the oil guy"

I'm not running a K&N! I'm running the new AFE Pro Dry 'S'.

My first analysis (factory fill) on factory air filter had a silicon number of 31, next oil change dropped to 18, from then on they have all been around 3. I wouldn't sweat it. BTW, I changed to an old style AFE filter in the factory box (NOT the Pro Guard) and there was no change in my silicon numbers.

My silicon was 34!

I'm using an Amsoil drop-in.

Oil is Amsoil AME 15-40and EAO99 filter run 10500 miles.

Copper was 186.

Iron was 102.

I guess my engine is on it's way out at 15000 miles

Oh well..........what $10K

If it's only the 2nd oil change I wouldn't worry too much about the Silicon, but your Sodium (salt) levels look a little high. Maybe the air filter has a leak where it mounts on the plastic AFE tube?

That sucks.

My Iron has been in the mid 40's the last two times, but I'm thinking that may be due to opening up the system for all the turbo work that's been done.

I called AFE about it since the Pro Dry 'S' is a new product, and after a week they called me and got my address and sent me a brand new Proguard 7.
