Oil analysis Q's
Ok, I just did another oil analysis and I am worried of the results. From the start they have always been worried about there being antifreeze in the oil. When I run it it smells like antifreeze but the oil is not milky or thin, but does smell weird. The oil level has risen since last changed also, but not sure what it is from. The truck has under 36K on it still, not sure if I should try to get a dealer to take care of the truck or just take it easy on her until I have the coin to do a full rebuild. Anyway here is the most recent oil analysis.

Blackstone is perhpaps not aware of what modifications (chips, ect) do to normal wear rates. Probablly not have good ideal of egr cooler apps also, just know they are out there and trying to figure a cause.
If antifreeze was present, I believe it would show in test, not masked. Are you losing any antifreeze?
Don't know brand of oil using, but suggest change to different good diesel oil and see if makes a difference. Have seen some oils work better than others with specific driving conditions.
Higher Iron could be result of advanced timing from chip. JMHO

I would definitely be getting it to the dealer and get it on record that there is this problem. I would take it in repeatedly until something happened or they fixed it.
With the track record of this problem they must cover any damage that happens while you are trying to get it resolved. Just make sure you don't have the Smarty and such in the truck when you take it in.

My antifreeze levels are low, my oil is high. I run Cen-Pe-Co 15W40, a oil designed for heavy duty use and abuse. After thinking about it, reading on here and other sites, I have come to the conclusion that I lifted the head a while back and it cause an internally blown head gasket. While it does not appear on the outside, it does smell like antifreeze every time I run the truck. We could never find the cause of it until I chacked the oil levels and took this oil sample. I guess that it is time to stud, spring, and charge her. I feel that this problem was cause by me, not the stock motor, the modified motor and I am not one to take advantage wrongfully of someone. You know what they say; "You gotta Pay to Play" and this time it got me.

If your oil level is rising and it is due to coolant contamination the oil would be discolored. You may have an injector overfueling and washing the cyl wall causing the higher iron your uoa is showing. As far as losing antifreeze, did you check the small hose under the rear section of the exhaust manifold? Mine was leaking and dripping on to the exhaust causing the odor. All it needed was the clamps to be tightened.
