My first post ! Can't pass Calif. Smog test on just purchased 2003 diesel.
OBD code 2509, "ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent" is all test station will tell me unless I pay $95 more.
Research says this is a frequent fault found commonly in Dodge trucks. Can anyone help, as I am near deadline for new title? Don't want to pay the fine.

have both batteries load tested, do a google search "dodge p 2509;;;

 

Remove and clean both ends of the battery cables (remove both negatives first, and connect them last).

Might not hurt to confirm batteries are fully charged, if the truck has sat or done only short trips.

I'd also have the batteries load tested as suggested above.

By cycling the key 3 times from off to run you can see if there are any other codes.
