I know this has been beat but, rebuild parts still hard to find and expencive?
Just wondering cuz my t-case is going out and was thinking the tranny needed to be looked at to? Tranny shifts fine and there is 169k on it and trust me there are some of those miles that are not so nice.lol so all in all is it worth it to rebuilt or just run it till something happens?

If the oil drains without chunks (you are changing the oil right?), it shifts fine and runs without excessive noise or vibration through the shift lever, I'd keep running it. If it does eventually crap out, try to find a wrecked '02 or newer truck in a junkyard. New parts are still difficult to find and expensive when you can find 'em.

Only 169k, I have 495k on my nv4500 half ton GM, and it's never been rebuilt, keep the miles coming.
