Number 4 fuel line

Just a quick question. How many people had number 4 fuel line snap form the common rail to the injector? I was on my way to work this afternoon and smelt diesel and truck just shut off. Pop the hood had a coworker crank it over and it was shooting fuel everywhere! Snapped off right at the injector. Dealership said this is common and was wondering if it was? Least it was under warrenty!

Mine sprung a leak on the #4 line at about 42K. I never saw it shooting out and the dealer returned the old #4 line and I,ve looked and looked and still can't see any where it was cracked or had a pin hole in it. I still wonder if maby the nut just came loose ?

My #4 cracked and dumped fuel too. I believe it is common. 1) There was only one #4 fuel line in Dodge inventory in my region. 2) Cummins had that part on the shelf, when the parts guys expected it would have to be ordered. The new line is different looking on mine (different coating) the Dodge tech also said it was an updated part.
