Noticed a new vibration??

Right about when my truck turned 32k miles I noticed a driveline vibration when decellerating from ~70 mph or so. It seems to be worst right about when the speedo needle hits the 60 mph mark in OD and completely off the gas. I can feel the vibration in the stick and on the floor boards, as well as the rest of the cab at times. Seems to do it worst when the truck has been moving for a while (warmed up). I thought I heard a U joint making some noise in a turn one day when I had the windows down, but have not been able to duplicate it recently. Up untill now I've never had any driveline vibrations and am curious to know what this is before I bother to take it to the dealer....any ideas>?

PS...doesn't seem to do it if I take it out of gear during decell.

That's kinda what I was leaning towards as well....been down the U joint road before and this case is kind of similiar. Odd thing is that it's not making the typical noise a "going bad" U joint makes...just the one time that I know I heard. Do you have any idea if U joints are covered under the 3/36 warranty?

I would say yes as its part of the drive line. I know if a dealer told me no I would certionly contest it. Also I have had u joints go bad on me with no warning etc. so good luck with the repair.

Heres a thread from TDR on the same issue your experiancing.

Thanks for the link, I printed it off to show the service people. Another thing that happened to me on the way home this morning was the serp belt shredded off the front two ribs. Add that to the leaking injector O rings, the messed up A/C diffuser door/valve, and the freezing over while in A/C recirculation mode; these guys have a hand full to fix!
