Last night while out playing with a c5 I finally found my truck defueling about about 110 MPH. You can really feel it back right off the turbo pressure drops as well as the pulling of the engine. I thought I blew her up at first its a really hard defuel thats forsure. Time for the drag comp, now does that remove that defueling all together?

 

Who won? My truck has pulled to 115 on the speedo. It never defueled either. Just ran out of road.

at 115 I have one more gear :P ;D JK but at 120 I turned yeller :

I know when my Mustang hits the rev limiter (loses half the cylinders) it feels like the engine shuts off.

I was ahead unitl I ran out of gear I was revving about 2900 rpm maybe a tad more.

Who was it that had a Gear Vendors type under/over-drive unit on the truck, and on the dyno took it up to 157 or so? Anybody remember that?

 

My brother's PSD runs to 125 and it doesnt really defuels but it stays right at 3200rpm. Running 315's at the time. Now he has trouble hitting 110 with 39x18x16.5. Told him shoulda bought a cummins. :

 

Mine hits the wall at 120 MPH.

Get the Drag Comp, You will pull hard until you finally hit 3400 rpm or about 121mph.
Then you will feel like you hit a brick wall and your engine will stop pulling/fueling but you can maintain the 120mph with no problem.
You will only get the non defueling function on level 5x5.

If you are satisfied with your low boost smoke control now, then have Edge upgrade your box to a drag. If you want more aggressive smoke control, have DD upgrade your box to their version of the drag comp. you'll get DD timing curves and their low-boost fueling.

But with your EDM injectors, you might want to stay with the Edge timing, especially if it is working great for you now. I don't think anyone has dyno'd the DD box with EDM injectors!
