What's the normal idle rpm for an 04 305/555? Mine idles at nearly 800 and will idle between 10-15 mph once the truck warms up. It also seems to idle very rough once it's warm.

Idle speed should be 750 (posted on the emission ID tag by the TPS), and is controlled by computer and not adjustable.

The engine should idle smoothly...

correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like an injector problem.

 

My idle rpm is nailed at 750, I have never seen an engine stay so close to one speed at idle before.

Except of course during the winter when the cold idle takes over.
