noise from trans when in neutral

lately i have been hearing a little noise say im at like 1k RPMs after i let the truck slow down a bit, i hear a squeal noise. i figured everything is cold and the truck is as ****** as i am to be in this weather.
well today at the drive thru against the wall i heard a bearing squeal when in neutral with the clutch all the way out. and as soon as i started pressing it in the noise started going away and was completely gone when fully depressed.
truck is an 05 5.9 with the 6 speed im unsure what one it is

More than likely it's your throw-out bearing.

Throw out bearing or even pilot shaft bearing. If it is, you need to fix it quick before you trash your clutch fingers or pilot shaft.

Over to the right and up is a 5600........to the left and down is g56. Also, the 5600 is iron......the g56 is aluminum.

a bad throw out from my experience is with clutch depressed it makes a ton of noise.
this sound is very faint i brought it in my shop today and could not even hear it on cold start, but after it sat for a while and i went to go home i was able to hear it slightly when really looking for the noise.
well mine is the 5600 then, which trans is better?
