Went hunting this morning for 2 hours. Got back to the truck and no start, nothing, turn the key and there was nothing! The voltage was reading normal, no codes showed in the Smarty. Walked a mile to get another vehicle and go back, got back and the truck fired as normal. What could be or have been the problem?

Possible shift lever not all the way in park. Next time try starting with shift lever in Neutral. Did dash lights come on?

Trust me in that I'm Cummins illiterate, but I did have this exact problem 2 weeks ago. Mine would not start one evening for a while, came back to it and it cranked right up. Next morning couldn't get it to start at all. My brother in law showed me a relay under the fuse box and give me a jumper wire to jumper it if it happens again. So far it hasn't.
