no power steering and bad feedback in brake pedal...

i just picked up a 03 dodge ram 3500 and when at low speeds or stopped i get a bad whining noise and the steering wheel doesn't want to turn. also when sitting at the stop light if i hold the brake pedal down pretty hard if get a pretty hard pulsing feedback from the pedal? its late so i cant look at it tonight just wondering where to start? i noticed that the power steering was overfull can this cause these symptoms?thanks

well since the power steering and brakes are all one system i would say the hydro boost / power steering pump went bad. someone should chime in here in a minute and tell you what you need to replace.

There is a TSB on 03 and maybe 04's (not sure) for a updated hydroboost hose. Mine was done when I got my truck used so I am not sure of the symptoms.
