NO power now- plus tranny hunting.
HELP ME! - AT least for the power loss issue.also see JLMCOLORADO's thread in help forum. I'll be a little more in depth about mine.
This question is in the HELP area because I plan to tell the dealer today NOT to start replacing parts if I can get a definite cure here.
It looks like the dealer plans on throwing parts at my 65,000 mile 2005. If somebody is going to throw, easy to replace parts at it, I would rather it be me at a much lower cost. This brings the repeat question of “Is this covered under powertrain warranty” which is still good for 5,000 more miles. The truck has no power and I can tell there is no turbo boost. I originally got a p0073 ( I think)? code for LOW TURBO BOOST SENSOR VOLTAGE”, but they say they are getting low voltage, high voltage and MAP codes now. I went to 3rd gen threads and although this problem is discussed I saw no parts numbers on the sensors. The ‘new’(reman) factory tranny that is in the truck was just replaced under warranty and shifts like crap at low throttle and hunts waaaaay worse than the original ever did so could my WHOLE problem be a bad TPS(throttle position sensor)????
FYI- when I say shifts like crap, I mean the constant in-out-in-out of the converter locking in second gear before it shifts to third. Of course the dealer says the ‘hunt’ is normal, but trust me the new tranny is not normal.
The tranny issue may be fixed when I get a shift kit in the tranny and an aftermarket converter, but i WISH i could get them to admit there is a problem.
Thanx for any help, crossy

They seem to try to weasel out on drive train warranty if they can throw the blame at bad fuel for creating the problem. Not saying all of them do just a word of caution.
Let them throw all of the new parts they want to on it as long as the fully understand it will be ON THEIR TAB. If not no deal.
Might be a long shot, but check the wires leading to the A/C compressor, seems I read here they tend to chaft the insulation off the +5 volts lead creating all sorts of havoc with the ECM.
hey, a long shot is often the cause- especially when you consider that We're getting muti codes of opposite direction. Still no call bak today so i just called them and went to recording. I left message that i want call back before the last 5 minutes of work today- that's what they do then ask if i can leave it another day. like i could get there b4 they leave anyway. crossy
got it back late yesterday and they did not touch the trans or replace the damaged pan that THEY installed that way. the engine is back to it's normal doggish self. guess i'll add the smartyjr. now and call TNT about getting a bunch of trans stuff done.
installed a Map sensor & Intake temp sensor. they wanted $450 for those two items and It cost me $100 deductible again.
thanx , crossy
I came back to post the part numbers and BASIC pricing. For the people like me that were doing a search and not coming up with anything. lol. they called both of them Pressure /Temperature sensors.
68050010-AA MAP sensor --$80
5139278-AA Air Intake sensor--$150
