I just went out and took this pic.

Wow! What air pressure are you running front/rear?

Unloaded I keep them at 68 front and 63 rear. After I got them installed I kept them at 75 front and 70 rear. Drove about 100 miles and noticed the wear was more in the center two blocks so I dropped to 68 front and 63 rear.

Towing I go to 75 front and 80 rear.

Haven't measured the remaining tread depth yet, but these are my Nittos with about 40,000 miles

My Dura's in the size you want 285/75R17 have 62,000 miles on them so far. I keep the rears at 80 to 85 (haul heavy a lot) and the front at 65. I will put another 10,000 on them at least. They really take a load!
I have rotated 4 times, far less than my old BFG's demanded....

I,ve been running 65 front 55 rear unloaded and loaded 65 front and 70 rear. By pics posted seems as tire wear is about the same for all mileage wise.

To clarify, when I say loaded, I'll put 5,000 pounds on the rear and haul....
I commonly load a 2,700 pound pallet of concrete bags, 800 pounds of liquid epoxy, 300 pounds of primer and then I hook my trailer on with 1200 pounds of tongue weight. Oh, I'll also load four guys in the truck with all their baggage for a week of work!

These tires don't complain at all. I travel 75mph on the interstate loaded like this. They wear like iron. Quiet as a mouse. But only okay in deep snow, rain and ice.

Thumbs up Found a Set!

I found the 285 75 17's. I have ordered a set from SD Wheels, Addison, IL. They will ship direct to TN from Charlotte. They showed 36 on hand in Charlotte. $939.00 for 4 to my door! I called my tire guy and he said he will gladly mount them. Probably a good idea to do alignment too and check the ball joints. 79k on the truck now.

Can't wait to try them. You guys are getting excellent wear. I'm hopeful I can do well too. Thanks for posting the pressures too. I'll start out with the 68 /63 and see how it goes. Should have them by Friday!!

Not trying to hijack here, but I'm currently running the 285/70R17s on my 2wd. Anyone have the 285/75R17s on a 2wd? How's the clearance?

I pulled my receipt. $802 mounted and balanced, tax title license, everything, stems, old tire disposal, I mean $802 TOTAL.

Pretty decent price..... But I still want to go bigger just for looks.

for the people only getting 45-50k miles out of them, there is something wrong. Either the roads where you drive are made out of shards of glass, of you havnt rotated/proper inflation of the tires. I am at about 35k miles on mine and still have 70-80% tread on them. I am looking at getting 70k miles plus at the rate im going.

Same mileage and results here... should last at least 60k...

I cut 2.0 60' times in a 2wd 6 speed quad cab using those tires. I got rid of the truck with about 20k on the tires and I estimate they would have gone 20k more (many many track passes on the tires). They are probably the best road tire out there for our trucks.

Get the duras, I have about 6k on mine and love them. 890 installed 285/70/17's. Make sure the installer knows that there are two different sidewalls as one of mine does not match.
