How often do you drain the fuel water seperator. do you wait until you get the warning light or do you empty it so often?

The book say's drain every fill up which is not needed unless you are getting some real bad fuel. I drain mine if I fill up at a place that look like it does not pump a lot of diesel our other wise about once a month which for me is about every 4 tank fills and I change the filter every other oil change. The light can't be trusted some seem to work and others don't. You won't hurt a thing bye draining to much but could hurt your pump bye not doing it enough.

I drain mine when I change the filter. I save the fuel overnight to let it seperate out. I have yet to see any water at all in mine.
