New to this forum,and like the posts that Ive read, I have a stock 2006 2500 5.9 with 170k on it,recently Ive been hearing this whine at idle and just above idle 750-1200 rpm its making me crazy, sound like a pwr string pump but there is no tone change when turning the wheel, also at the front of the truck when running it sounds like somethings Chunking?? It has a new belt at about 90k and it looks good.. I've checked pulley play and everything seems ok, I was reading that there is a viscus fluid drive on the front of the fan, can this go bad?? if so what are the symptoms?, any ideas?
The only reoccurring problems Ive had is the Brake lights burn out frequently all 3 maybe every 6 months.. no answer for that one..
