Talking New Truck

This my second post and I love reading all the knowlege that everyone puts into their trucks. I just got home with my 1st CTD, a 2004 3500 Quad Cab SRW long bed 4X4. My wife and I drove 500 miles to pick it up yesterday and the drive home was the best 500 miles I have ever driven. Keep up the great posts and I will keep reading

Jery, welcome to the CTD club. I bought my first CTD bout 18 mths ago. Like you, I loved it first time I drove it. You bought a good year model from what I have read. Folks on here say they get much better mileage than 04.5 and above due to 3rd inj event and other things. Use the search button and read all about your model truck. Read about what kind of lift pump you have,(may need to up grade? for peace of mind) etc etc. If you don't know for sure when it was done, first thing I would do is change the fuel filter. VERY VERY important to have cleanest fuel possible on a diesel. Other maintenance you can search and read in manual etc. ANYWAY, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! How many miles on it?????

The truck has 113,000 on it and they say that it was regularly maintained but plan on doing the usual to it as soon as possible to be on the safe side. Will post some pics as soon as it warms up and I can give it a good bath. Thanks so much everyone Nick
