hello,
Just bought a used 2004 dodge 3/4 ton standard cab cummins i was wondering if i can put a stright pipe on it to make it loader without screwing up any computer or so on. Also will this void the warantee also will a cold air intake to much for the motor worth the money or no? Also what is good an bad about the automatic transmissions in theses trucks anything i should know? or do to prevent premature wear? im kinda of new to the diesel pickup world just want a dialy driver with some power an black smoke any help or sugestions are great
thanks Dennis

straight pipe the exhaust, many kits on the market. It is just a piece of 4" pipe with some hangers.
with more power the autos start to have issues, like all dodge diesels.
warantee issues will arise any time you change something. they need to prove it caused the problem.
premature wear, change fluids on or before shcedule. I find it is cheaper for me to buy more expensive fluids and do it my self for less money than having someone else do it.
as far as more power, i am fond of the smarty.
