Check out the pic, does this look normal. I'm using some oil between oil changes. Not really sure how much, had been checking it right after shut down, so sometimes it was low, just right or high. After searching on here I've learned that I should check it in the morning.

No leaks underneath, no death fog from underneath.

First thing I would do is get that motor cleaned up. Simple green works pretty good for me. I bet once it's cleaned up and you replace your valve cover gasket you'll greatly reduce the seeping.

A quart is quite a bit to seep. How does the bottom look? I bet it's pretty gunky too especially on the driver side.

If it's seeping out, it sure isn't seeping out there. A little bit of oil will go a looooong ways to making a mess!

That's not leaking much, if anything, as far as leaks go.

tonyd01 Who freaking dat! You down south?

Thanks guys. Went to 3 stealers and the gasket is on order. Did about a 300 mile round trip hwy drive over the weekend and the oil level was down about a 1/4" the next morning. Did 200 miles of city driving yesterday and checked the level this morning and it right on from the previous morning.

This is driving me nuts. Any suggestions? Could the turbo be pulling the oil? How do I diagnose if the turbo is culprit?

Are you sure you are dead level when you check, or at least in exactly the same spot? Waiting the same amount of time after shutdown? It doesn't take much tip/lean to change your dipstick reading quite a bit. Mine can change a 1/4" with the slope in my gargage.
