new to 3rd gens need some info on a potential purchase
Private party sale
Mid year 03 305/555 nv5600 3.73 gears SLT
4dr long bed 45000 miles
$24800
Has 4" turbo down exhaust, AFE and a Van akken 70hp box with three settings. leveling kit with 315's Nothing else
A Chrysler scan of the warantee history shows all warantees expired except engine ( no suprise here) 03s were 70k or 100k mile and was it 7 year or 5 year.
Warantee work done
Ujoints and carrier bearing at 41000
"High pressure pump" "due to low pressure" Chrysler couldnt differentiate between the lift pump or the cp3 on the printout and they werent willing to go into it any further for me was done at 29000 miles. owner said he wasnt sure what they did that it had to do with the fuel system and the dealership repaired it.
No red flags on truck, in 5 star records.
Ar CP3's prone to failure?
Do the 03's have problems dropping valves? have heard this but know nothing about it.
Any issues with the new AAM limited slip units
anything to keep my eyes peeled on. owner has dealership service records for most oil changes and diff/tranny services.
Truck a non cali truck but is in cali now. any variations in the 03 engnine model years? Owner stuck with payment cant afford, got any feed back?
Always been a 12v fan so the cp3 and common rail motors are news to me.
Thanks
