The new 2011 First trip to service already...
That being said (asked), somehow I'm a little more at ease with my '10's right turn "honking" (Dodge's term for the noise) - since it doesn't do it all the time at all speeds and turn radiuses, I'll just hang tight until they come up with an across the board fix.
And yea, I used to tell others not to buy a first year model change vehicle - but that was years ago when you would know a new vehicle no matter what would have to go back in for various warranty issues - I'd like to think US quality is above that now...
HELLO, new guy here and I just got my first Diesel, and with just 400 miles i'm getting the above stated noise coming from the steering.
Is it bad to drive it like this? I do plan to take it back to the dealer sometime next week, but cant get there until then.
thanks

My service people told me it's not going to wreck anything including the truck to drive it with the honking - but if it's really noisy all the time it could more than just the honk issue. They bled some air out of mine when it was new, and it helped some...
Yeah same here I want to do some mods but i am not now for at least a few months i guess.. My question i guess would be if i did my mods to the motor, everything else should be covered correct?? why would the motor cause other things to go wrong like a door or steering or paint??? They would still have to cover everything under warranty correct just not the motor??
The internet is usually a better tool than a RADAR detector with all the smart phones that are out there now. There's hundreds of sites that list where the most popular speed traps are.
I don't know why people still waist their money on RADAR detectors. By the time it goes off, we already have your speed locked on RADAR. Sometimes you might get lucky, but mostly those low signal hits are usually written off as an automatic door.

I didnt get that thread either re read all the previous post trying to figure it out haha. Really the only time it works is in traffic. Then they shot someone else and your detector picked it up. Otherwise useless
Check the tierod alignment? Some don't have the right angle on them and cause addition stress on the steering box/tierod. My truck works good, no real issues at 20000miles mark now, but I have never been back to the dealer since I bought mine.
Heres a u-tube video to explain what I mean in better detail.

The steering doesnt sound like a first year issue. Just curious if you are now a full time engineer for Dodge/Chrysler or still going to school.
