Angry Need to vent!!!!!

It's cold snowy and down right misserable! Mt CTD decided on Wed, to throw me a "check engine" light. So I did! "Yep! It's still there! LMAO Anyhoo, I noticed my upper radiator hose was rock hard and the radiator was warm but not hot. I let the pressure out of it fron the cap and well ahhhhh yes! 86k on it and the thrmostat is stuck! So here I sit in my livingroom drinking coffee trying to get the ambition up to go out in the cold and change it! Why can't I be rich and have a warm garage ot live in Fla! Just needed to vent!

Make friends with somebody who does have a heated garage.

Do you belong to any local 4x4 clubs in your area.

I let fellow club members use my garage when I'm not using it.

More reasons to drink beer and shoot the crap while somebody is busting their knuckles.

It is certainly tough to work outside in the elements, I did that for years when I lived in PA. I built a nice double carport one year, then framed it in a couple years later. When I moved to NM a few years ago I lost my garage. So, like you, I am a fair-weather mechanic. I have started constructing the carport, the framing is on the summer list of things to do. Good thing it's just a thermostat, at least it's easy to do an does not take a lot of time.

I just haul my burn barrel near the truck and light a fire in it. Better than nothing!

It's either 20* in the winter or 110* in the summer.... I'd rather be cold!

Well I cant work on mine either. We are going through a cold snap here too. I think it's suppose to be in the 50's for a high!!

I guess I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. This is the time we work on things here. Kinda hard to work on your truck from the swimming pool when it's 115*. Sorry I couldn't resist.

Propane tank like the ones on the BBQ, portable heater and point it at ya from 20 feet away and instant FL. weather when working on, in, under your truck in the north.

I just moved back from Manchester to Monterey CA in September. My cousin still lives there, and he was crying to me how cold it was. He mainly was crying cuz it was hurting his restaurant business down on Elm St. I moved there back in January, and it def. gets alil chilly. Anyways I know this has nothing to do with the post, but whenever you get a chance, go down to "Z" food and drink down there on 860 Elm. Across from Citizens bank. Tell them Nate sent you......
