Need some advice on Dealer issue
I too had a similar experience with a dealer just last month. I have had all my service done by them because they were local and I had purchased the truck from them. I took the truck in for a routine oil change and had asked them to check over the front end and a squeeking u joint, a short time later they told me all the u joints needed to be replace, ball joints, universal joints, basically the front end. I said great, I'll pick it up at the end of the day...the end of the day comes and I get a bill for $2500. I asked about the warranty, and they said your lifted and have a chip, "no warranty". I had to go into the "office" with the service manager, we went back and forth, I told him I had other warranty work covered without any problems. Yet it was only a $500 bill, it seemed this time that they didn't want to cover the bigger bill. In the end they covered it and I agreed I wouldn't come back expecting to get things covered in the future. I have had "mods" on my truck since day one, taken it in for years and nobody says anything, until they have to fix something that costs. I know if you play you pay, but I was hoping the dealer was playing on my side.
