need help selecting a Torque converter

Ordered a Goerend 48 RE today Bilet input shaft everything elese just there normal HD build . Its for my sons 2006 mega cab he pulls a 40' 5th wheel camper quite regularly it weighs approx 12000 lbs . Did not talk with Dave but did talk with one of his techs he said either stay with the OEM stall or go to one that would come in at about 1800 rpm . It will be there triple disk he said the lower stall might turn on the check engine light occasionally but with the Bully Dog you can just check your codes an turn it off . We hadn't really felt
like there was a issue with how the truck moved out under load . But that being said with the camper if setting on a incline naturally the trk would Rev
pretty high to get the load moveing . Is that the main advantage it will pull out sooner an build speed quicker slipping less between shifts shortning the time spent before lockup ? We were wondering though we would like that loaded would it be to aggressive when empty ? Since we've only drove stock
setups just don't want to regret a choice that cost so much to change back .
He did say he was looking for some to come out with a remedy to defeat the check engine light issue .

Get the 15 blade left cut, you won't have the revving to get the load going and will have good TQ multiplication. I love mine, especially for pulling heavy.

Thanks Spooler I take it your Trans is a Goerend unit . I see you've got 4;10 gears I believe ours are 3:73 . So you like it loaded or empty , does your ck eng light ever come on ?

My truck is a 06 mega with the 3.73. I had a 3 disc TC and the Constant pressure Vb installed about 10k miles ago. The shift is very agressive when I am not towing. But when I hook to my boat which is only 6k she is so very smooth. The more I tow the better it gets, prior to the install I talked with Dave several times. I told him what my intent for the truck was and he built to suit. Would I do it again?? Yes sir, but I would have spent the additional $$ and went with one of his full trannys.

Just the parts, had only 38,000 miles on the truck when they went in. No check engine light issues.

Thanks guys I got my son together with Craig Daves Tech guy now . I think they decided on a 16 or 1700 stall triple disk . But he did tell him if he did not like it he would swap it out no charge . But we'd have to take care of the labor.
I think thats fair enough . I think with this full build an them running it on the Dyno we'll get it right . We weren't really looking for an aggressive shift just firm an solid . An Spooler thanks for the feed back on the light
